It would be much easy to create new reference tracks if you could initiate a new blank preset, enter how many bars it had, then slice up the entire block into sections, and then select the section type for each block , chorus , bridge etc.

You almost can/a little different: New blank, ctrl/shift click on buildings – I think this is already faster once you get used to it 
Since no further comments on this, I regard it closed for now, no changes in pipeline
