DAW's BPM Should be used in calculating the "length" of an arrangement

From what I can tell, you calculate all your lengths by basing it on 120 BPM. Shouldn’t the length of the arrangement be calculated based on the whatever the DAW’s BPM is set to?

Not sure if it can be dynamic (would be fantastic if it was) but it should at least make the calculation at the time the first instance of AK is instantiated.

By the way, I am a licensed user. Really like the effort you are making with this.

Thanks!
Mark

Hi Mark, calculating on the host DAW’s BPM is indeed intended behaviour. I don’t know what DAW you are using and in which scenario you are experiencing the issue, but 120 BPM is what we fall back to is the host does not provide tempo information. (Host = your DAW). So if you experience 120 as a “locked value” It’s because the environment in which you are using ArrangerKing isn’t sending it’s speed data on to the plugin, and then there’s nothing any plugin can do, unfortunately.

I should have mentioned that the DAW I am using is Logic Pro 11. Perhaps you can check to see if Logic is the issue?
